This course is introduced by NCVT, Ministry of Labour, Government of India, considering the great and urgent need felt for trained manpower in the field of Electronics and Communication, as a result of ever growing Industrial development and rapid technological advancement. In a survey conducted by the department of Electronics, Government of India, about the future requirements of trained manpower in the operation of sophisticated electronic equipments, it has been revealed that there is an acute shortage of trained people in the field of Electronics. The course is meant to train youngsters to operate, maintain, service, repair and manufacture complicated electronic equipments.
Employment opportunities exist in the manufacture and servicing of Television, Mobile Phone, Radio, DVD, Telephones, Computers, Transmitters, Railways etc. The field of Electronics is developing at the rate of 20% in India.
